Administrative Assistant & Social Media Coordinator 

Role Scope:

This position will manage, direct, and coordinate all communication efforts of Skeff Distributing, including updating and maintaining the company website, creating, and editing internal newsletters, and developing a strategic social media plan for the wholesaler.  This position will coordinate communications, marketing, and internal events with the administration team and assist in development of products and materials with the sales team.  This position will also be responsible for serving as a liaison at community events, sponsorships, career fairs, business expos, etc.  This position will also be the pricing coordinator back up. Which will include helping maintain and updating pricing changes/promotions and ensuring all accounts are notified of change.  In addition, this position will support front office duties with communications with customers, reconciling drivers, and assisting with various office duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. External Communications
  • Manage Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts
    • Respond to customers and inquiries with 24 hours
    • Increase followers and engagements with intriguing creative content
    • 5-7 social media posts per week guaranteed

CDL Driver 

Job Description

  • Drive commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer combinations to deliver the product to retail accounts.
  • Follow an outlined itinerary and be willing to work as a part of a team whose account types and delivery routes can change based on daily need
  • Collect payments from accounts as needed
  • Lift, Stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts
  • Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating product as necessary to ensure freshness.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash/checks within appropriate time frames.
  • Manually load and unload product from side loader truck

Full-Time CDL Warehouse Worker 

Description:

This position is responsible for activities in the warehouse. This includes unloading inbounds, product rotation, cleanliness of facility and equipment, physical inventory, and other duties pertaining to maintaining operating standards for product and the facility as laid out by AB-InBev and Skeff Dist.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory

  • Scan all warehouse inventory weekly and transmit it into the Route Accounting System (RAS).
  • Enter repaired breakage into the RAS.
  • Take breakage out of inventory in the RAS.
  • Assist the Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations in recounting.

Over-the-Road Trailers

  • Work with AB-InBev logistics and external carriers to ensure a steady flow of inbound deliveries.
  • Secure and unload Over-the-Road trailers.
    • Use plywood on all pallets stacked 3-high.
  • Practice and encourage accurate product rotation.
  • Mark the code date on the pallet as laid out in the WEA.
  • Verify each package and enter them into the RAS.
  • Verify all packages are correct on the bill of lading.
  • Note any discrepancies on the bill of lading.
  • Sign the bill of lading.

Load Returns to Brewery

  • Load and verify the count on return cooperage.
    • Kegs with keg pallets
    • Pallets with bulkheads and spacers.
  • Prepare the bill of lading on BudNet system.
  • Write the truck number on the bill of lading.
  • Enter the Purchase Order in the RAS.
  • Place paperwork in the back of the truck with the cooperage.
  • Copies should be sent to Sr. VP of Operations & CFO.

Build and Load Pre-Sell Orders/Wholesaler Transfer Orders

  • Retrieve picks sheets/load sheets.
  • Note any Out-of-Stocks or package changes and make notations on the sheets.
  • Check code dates.
  • Checkmark each package when putting on a pallet or loading a truck.
  • Wrap orders when necessary.
  • Mark pallets with note pads, including the pallet number and pallet count for the pick sheet (1-5, 2-5 etc.).

Communication

  • Facilitate a shift change meeting to communicate with the Night Shift, ensuring a smooth Day Shift transition.

General Warehouse Duties

Night Loader 

Job Description

This position is responsible for loading truck for the next day's delivereis.  This includes loading orders, properly putting pallets on trucks, handling paperwork and keeping warehouse standards as laid out by Skeff Dist. and AB-InBev. 

Duties and Responsibilites: 

Order Processing (for those who are trained) 

  • Check Salesman's orders, select and process the orders
  • Generate invoices and send to Driver's handhelds. 
  • Generate night reports. 
    • Scan and email key list and off-day deliveries by 5 p.m. to Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing Director, Information Systems, and Director of Delivery & Service Operations
    • Out-of-Stock reports compelted at 5 and 8 p.m. 
    • Sales by salesman compelted at 8 p.m.
    • Sales by Route completed at 8 p.m. 
    • Back Order reports (3) completed at 8 p.m. 
  • Sync Driver handhelds after all invoices have been generated. 

Truck Staging and Loading

  • Practice accurate product rotation. 
  • Check Close-Dated products in drive through.
    • Retrieve and scan picks sheets/load sheets for the night to ensure accurate picking statistics. 
    • Determine if any special instructions are on the sheets
  • Note any Out-of Stock or package changes and make a notation on the sheets. 
  • Check mark each package when putting them on the pallet or loading the truck. 
  • Wrap orders when necessary. 
  • Mark pallets with note pads, including the pallet number and pallet count for the pick sheet (1-5, 2/5 etc.)
    • Ensure accurate loading.
    • Ensure adherence to wieght restricitons fore the trucks
    • Manage out-of-sequence deliveries (off-day delieveries)
    • Coordinate loads to make deliveries as efficient as possible (first on, last off). 
  • Load draught (if ordered) on truck.
    • Summer months (draught on back of truck). 
    • Winter months (draught with normal load). 
  • Load pallet jacks, handcarts and secure the load. 
  • Initial all pick sheets. 
  • Put pick sheets in the appropriate dirver's mailbox. 

Communication

  • Facilitate a shift change meeting to communicate with the Day Shift, ensuring a smooth Night Shift transition.
  • Communicate with Lee on truck issues and substitutions. 
  • Stay in contact with: 
    • Salesmen about orders, displays, etc. 
    • Director of Operations for special events and/or issues with truck weight. 
  • Communciate with dirvers (ex: Call drivers about stacking two stops to ensure time, space and trips are saved in making the delivery). 
  • Ensure after-hour warehouse emails are being answered. 
  • Communicate to Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations any issues evolving throughout the evening. 
  • Communicate on-the-job injuries to Director of Operations & CFO or VP of Administration & Controller. 

End of Shft Activity

  • Close out the night: 
    • Clean up the warehouse.
    • Put the necessary paperwork in the dirvers' boxes. 
    • Pull all vehicles and equipment into the warehouse
  • Monitor safety precautions for all employees.

General Warehouse Duties

  • Stack empties
  • Continuously clean and straighten the wareouse (plastic wrap, spillage, etc.). 
  • Place breakage in the proper area (in the Repack Room, not the garbage cans).
  • Practice truck and equipement safety. 
  • Time management
  • Do the job right the first time. 
  • Control/reduce product breakage.

Seasonal Night Loader

General Duties:
  • Signs and scans their picks
  • Build orders for the next day's deliveries
  • Make sure all loaded pallets are stacked so they can be transported safely
  • Ensure that all orders are filled
  • Empty trash and papers when they are done with a forklift
  • Ensure that damaged/broken cases are taken to the Breakage room and that trash is picked up off the floor before the end of each shift
  • If time permits have damaged product cleaned and repacked in the Breakage room
